About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Testing Lead to join our growing, distributed team at Coforma. The Testing Lead will join a project working on federal healthcare systems and will own the quality control and test strategy across the entire suite of platform modules. They will work directly with stakeholders to define test criteria for user stories, coordinate testing across sprints, and ensure that releases meet performance targets, accessibility standards, and ultimately, the “Definition of Done”. Reporting to the project’s Program Manager, this role requires prior experience working on highly regulated reporting systems and collaborating with cross-functional delivery teams in Agile environments. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex, technical requirements into easy-to-understand and actionable tasks. If you’re passionate about improving lives through digital products and services, Coforma is a great company for you.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience working directly with stakeholders on user experience testing and stakeholder feedback reporting on highly regulated reporting systems
  • Experience designing test strategies, plans, and cases for Agile/Scrum software delivery
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Vitest) integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of accessibility testing methods against WCAG 2.0–2.1 AA and Section 508
  • Full-time resident of the contiguous United States (must be legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship)
  • Ability to pass a Public Trust background check and any applicable background and/or security checks related to project requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience testing healthcare and/or federally regulated reporting systems
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence-based test management and reporting
  • Familiarity with load/performance testing and security/penetration testing coordination

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to create test criteria for every user story during development, and coordinate testing after each sprint to confirm stories, tasks, and bugs are ready to close
  • Design test strategies, processes, and test data; plan and lead cross-organizational testing teams across client, contractor, and sub-contractor environments
  • Provide full-spectrum testing: unit, iteration, smoke, regression, load, performance, security, and third-party tool testing
  • Conduct integrated/system testing across the entire platform to validate cross-module functionality
  • Maintain and grow the automated regression test suite; target 90%+ coverage on new code and drive incremental improvement of current coverage
  • Keep user research, usability testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as distinct, separately addressed activities — not interchangeable
  • Own accessibility testing strategy (automated and manual) against Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA, including support for assistive technology users
  • Run requirement, test plan, test case automation, validation, and operational reviews; document results, trends, and progress against objectives
  • Work with client stakeholders to prioritize and validate resolution of defects identified in testing
  • Report testing status and QASP self-assessment metrics (e.g., coverage, defect counts, penetration test findings) in monthly status reporting
