We are seeking an experienced Testing Lead to lead end-to-end quality assurance activities for large-scale Telecom OSS/BSS and enterprise application projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the test strategy, leading functional and integration testing, managing test teams, driving automation initiatives, and ensuring high-quality software releases across complex telecom ecosystems. The role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Development teams, DevOps engineers, and customer stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The successful candidate should have hands-on experience testing OSS/BSS platforms, telecom integrations, APIs, and distributed enterprise applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8–12 years of software testing experience with at least 3–5 years in a Test Lead or QA Lead role.
  • Proven experience leading testing activities for Telecom OSS/BSS applications, enterprise systems, or digital transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in Functional, System Integration (SIT), End-to-End (E2E), Regression, API, Database, and UAT testing.
  • Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, middleware, and enterprise integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of defect lifecycle management, test estimation, test planning, risk-based testing, and quality governance.
  • Experience with telecom business processes including Order Management, Product Catalog, CRM, Billing, Provisioning, Service Fulfilment, Inventory Management, Service Assurance, Mediation, or Network Management.
  • Working knowledge of TM Forum standards (eTOM, SID, Open APIs) is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, Postman, TestNG/JUnit, and Cucumber (BDD).
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the overall test strategy, test approach, and quality objectives for telecom transformation and software implementation projects.
  • Prepare test plans, effort estimates, schedules, resource plans, and testing deliverables.
  • Establish test scope, entry/exit criteria, quality gates, and release readiness criteria.
  • Identify testing risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E), Regression, API, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support, and Production Verification Testing.
  • Coordinate testing across multiple applications, vendors, and integrated telecom systems.
  • Ensure complete requirements traceability and adequate test coverage.
  • Monitor execution progress and ensure timely completion of testing milestones.
  • Lead defect triage meetings and coordinate defect resolution with development and business teams.
  • Track defect lifecycle, perform root cause analysis, and monitor defect trends.
  • Define quality metrics and provide regular reporting on testing progress, defect status, and release readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvements to testing processes and quality standards.
  • Define and execute the automation strategy for regression and repetitive testing.
  • Improve automation coverage to reduce manual testing effort and increase release efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage QA engineers and automation testers across multiple projects.
  • Allocate work, monitor productivity, and support career development of team members.
  • Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate testing status, risks, quality metrics, and release readiness to customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in project governance meetings, release planning, and executive reviews.
  • Collaborate with business users during UAT and production deployment activities.
  • Support release planning, deployment validation, smoke testing, and post-production verification.
  • Assist in production issue analysis and validation of defect fixes and hotfix deployments.
  • Ensure smooth transition from testing to production support.
