About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking Secret-Cleared Test Systems Engineers in Tucson, Arizona for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will support the development of test-system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and models used throughout the engineering lifecycle. Engineers will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to support test equipment development, integration, verification, validation, and production activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
2+ years of directly related engineering experience; senior-level openings require 8+ years of experience.
Systems Engineering experience supporting test requirements development, test planning, test methodologies, integration, verification, and validation.
Experience developing, decomposing, and/or managing system requirements.
Experience supporting test-related activities throughout the product lifecycle.
Experience applying a systems engineering approach to test-system development.
Experience with Model-Based Engineering or Model-Based Systems Engineering processes, techniques, and tools.
Experience or familiarity with SysML and/or UML.
Ability to develop subsystem requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and architectures.
Experience managing requirements and traceability.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
U.S. citizenship required.
Active U.S. Secret security clearance required to start.

Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, or Teamwork Cloud.
Experience with Rhapsody or IBM Rational Model Manager.
Experience with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
Experience with Agile development processes and techniques.
Experience with embedded test techniques.
Experience with design for test.
Experience with design margin analysis.
Experience with design for manufacturing.
Experience with development, environmental, qualification, production, manufacturing, or operations testing.
Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex engineering systems.

Technical mentoring or leadership experience.
A STEM master's degree may substitute for a portion of the required experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement subsystem models using MBSE tools and methods.
Define system and subsystem capabilities and derive technical requirements.
Develop subsystem requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and architectures.
Communicate test-equipment requirements to test-equipment designers.
Manage requirements, relationships, and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
Reuse test-environment requirements and models to improve test design efficiency.
Support test requirements development, integration, verification, and validation activities.
Work with technical subject-matter experts to understand subsystem architecture and resolve technical issues.
Support subsystem trades, technical analyses, and engineering decisions.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Senior-level engineers may provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members.
