The Test Stand Operator will be responsible for attaching all necessary tooling to a transmission to make it capable of running on the test stand. This includes using a hoist to lift and move transmissions, plugging in pressure hoses, and adding oil. While the unit is on the stand, the operator will monitor for abnormal noise, vibration, and leaks, and perform shifts and other steps as prompted by the computer. They will verify that the unit passes all computer-checked steps. For units that pass, the operator will remove all tooling, plug openings with plastic and metal plugs, and torque them using a torque wrench. Finally, the operator will clean all oil off the unit using cleaner and compressed air.
