About The Position

The Test Lead will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing end-to-end testing activities for Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Billing systems, with strong hands-on expertise in Majesco Billing. This role ensures billing solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and regulatory expectations prior to production release. The Test Lead will manage testing across functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases while coordinating with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves mentoring test team members and driving best practices in test governance and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in software testing.
  • 3–5 years in a Test Lead or QA Lead role.
  • Strong hands-on experience testing Majesco Billing systems.
  • Proven experience in the P&C Insurance Billing domain.
  • Deep understanding of P&C billing lifecycle and business processes.
  • Experience with test management tools.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid.
  • Experience in data validation using SQL.
  • Experience in data validation using database queries.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall test strategy, approach, and scope for Majesco Billing implementations and enhancements.
  • Develop detailed test plans, schedules, and resource allocation aligned with project timelines.
  • Identify testing risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead execution of Functional testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression testing, and UAT support.
  • Ensure thorough validation of P&C billing processes including: Premium billing and invoicing, Installment plans and payment processing, Endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and refunds, Billing adjustments, fees, and write-offs.
  • Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and closure, and root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate test cycles with development and release teams.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Majesco Billing functionality and configuration from a testing perspective.
  • Validate billing rules and workflows, and integrations and data flows across upstream and downstream systems (Policy, GL, Reporting).
  • Ensure testing aligns with State regulations, Compliance requirements, and Audit standards.
  • Lead and mentor QA/Test team members, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners.
  • Facilitate test status reviews, defect triage meetings, and UAT walkthroughs with business stakeholders.
  • Review and approve test cases and test scripts, and traceability matrices.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational QA standards and best practices.
  • Provide test metrics dashboards and quality status reports to leadership.
