About The Position

Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer (Associate-Level 2) for Automated Systems Testing to join our team in Sylmar, California. Spectrolab has been a pioneering leader in space solar power for more than 70 years, developing the highest-efficiency commercial space solar cells to enable cutting-edge missions. Our solar cells and panels have powered more than 1,000 space missions, satellites, and interplanetary spacecraft, helping advance exploration across the solar system. Spectrolab technology has played a role in some of humanity’s most iconic space achievements, including powering the first satellite to broadcast live television, placing solar cells on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission, and powering the International Space Station, NASA’s Mars Exploration Rovers and NASA’s Juno mission to Jupiter. Backed by a legacy of technical excellence and a drive to innovate, Spectrolab is helping shape the future of space exploration and commercial spaceflight. Join us and be part of the team delivering the solar technologies that power ambitious missions beyond Earth. As a Test & Evaluation Engineer, you design, develop, integrate, and execute automated test systems for verification, validation, and production test programs in aerospace, defense, and industrial environments. You combine hands-on software development and hardware development with test planning, data analysis, and close collaboration with systems engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Spectrolab’s factory is located in the north side of Los Angeles, offering access to the city’s world-class culture, dining, and entertainment. The Sylmar location provides convenient “reverse commute” options for people living across the San Fernando Valley—from Sherman Oaks to Pasadena—as well as straightforward commutes from Santa Clarita and other northern Los Angeles County areas.
