About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Test & Evaluation Engineer (Test Instrumentation) to join their team in Patuxent River, MD. The successful candidate will work as part of the test team consisting of engineers and technicians supporting flight test instrumentation activities on the V-22 Flight Test program. Occasional short-term travel is possible supporting offsites at remote locations or aboard navy ships. The team is looking for an associate level Instrumentation Engineer with experience working with aircraft instrumentation systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience working within test instrumentation and/or methods
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk
  • Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software and uses analytical tools to verify the design
  • Assists in the coordinating and manufacture and assembly of test hardware
  • Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
  • Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data
  • Works with technicians to facilitate engineering requirements
  • Troubleshooting Instrumentation systems onboard A/C as required
  • Coordinates with engineering teams to meet test requirements
