About The Position

The Test Engineer will engage in test development processes, applying the principles of electrical and computer engineering. This role involves establishing project development plans, monitoring progress, reviewing test plans and station designs, and developing test strategies for SEL products. The incumbent will also evaluate new test technologies, determine Design for Test (DFT) specifications, and collaborate with engineering staff. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing test data for improvements, ensuring clear communication with customers, understanding hardware/software interactions, and continuously improving engineering processes. The position is based at the company's headquarters in Pullman, Washington, requiring regular on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Establish project development plans, monitor the status and progress of test and other project deliverables, and provide timely metrics on project status
• Review and approve test plans, station designs, and validation documentation
• Design, develop, and maintain test strategies for new and existing SEL products
• Evaluate new test technologies and methods
• Determine Design for Test (DFT) specifications and coordinate with the company’s engineering staff on new product design
• Gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage, process efficiencies, and perform software verification
• Ensure clear and efficient communications between test development team and customers
• Understand hardware and software interactions and collaborate with Hardware Engineers
• Continuously identify, measure, and improve company engineering processes
