Test Engineer III (on-site)
About The Position
ISHPI is seeking a Test Engineer III to support the Command and Control (C2) Afloat Integration Support (C2AIS) for the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, Virginia. The position manages supported C5ISC systems and provides services across systems, software, hardware, network, test, and electronic engineering, as well as technical writing. The role supports systems engineering for acquisition program test phases, creates test documentation, and conducts testing of complex to highly complex software and hardware applications in support of user requirements. It also involves risk management assessments related to testing and software or hardware development, analyzing user requirements, selecting test tools, and documenting test results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Science.
- Nine years of work experience in test design, development engineering, or a related field.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Active DoD government security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Support systems engineering activities related to acquisition program test phases.
- Develop test documentation, including strategies, plans, procedures, and reports.
- Conduct systems tests in support of user requirements for complex to highly complex software and hardware applications.
- Direct and/or participate in risk management assessments across testing phases and software or hardware development.
- Analyze user requirements, develop test plans, select test tools, conduct tests, and document results.
- Support the management of C5ISC systems and provide engineering and technical writing services.
