About The Position

Collins Aerospace seeks a Test Engineer II to support test planning, execution, and reporting for the AF DCGS High Band Mission Applications Software (HBMAS) program’s distributed, cloud‑enabled mission applications. This role expands on foundational test engineering skills by contributing to automated testing, troubleshooting integration issues, and validating mission data flows. Work is performed using modern agile practices and routine interaction with multi‑discipline engineering teams. This position is in Aurora, CO and an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI clearance is required prior to start date. This position is contingent upon contract award and customer funding.

Requirements

  • Experience executing structured test procedures
  • Basic understanding of distributed or cloud‑based systems
  • Familiarity with interface or configuration management concepts
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks or scripting languages
  • Exposure to DevSecOps pipelines
  • Understanding of containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test procedures for cloud‑enabled mission applications
  • Assist with automated test scripts, tools, and CI/CD integration
  • Participate in integration events across multiple enclaves and environments
  • Validate system interfaces, security controls, and acceptance criteria
  • Document test results, defects, and corrective actions
  • Support troubleshooting efforts across software, systems, cyber, and data teams
  • Contribute to configuration‑managed test artifacts
