About The Position

Responsible for developing and executing Server Manufacturing Test Process test cases for newly developed and current hardware products. The role owns test case development for all test phases for assigned products and technologies, and creates or modifies cases to ensure appropriate coverage of new technologies. It maintains test cases based on lessons learned, feedback, new peripherals, obsolete technologies, end-of-life peripherals, and other changes. The role also drives action items to closure for test escapes and process efficiencies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in a wide array of PC/server technologies, including basic Intel x86 architecture, iAMT, RAID, uEFI, and BIOS.
• Understanding of hardware and software interactions and the ability to apply that understanding to resolve issues.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, set priorities, and work independently under aggressive timelines.
• Ability to quickly master new tools, languages, and operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
• Verbal and written English communication skills.
• Problem-solving and analysis skills.
• Detail-oriented, with attention to product quality.
• Understanding of machine characteristics that affect software systems.
• At least 2 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Computer Engineering (BSCE), or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with developers and technologists to determine test requirements, write test cases, and develop test tools for server projects.
• Construct, troubleshoot, and test prototype assemblies, documenting work as appropriate.
• Set up and configure hardware and software products, perform specified test cases, and clearly document results.
• Work with developers to resolve product issues discovered during testing, when applicable.
• Define and implement new test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of test cases and implement continuous improvement during and after test projects.
• Maintain test cases based on lessons learned, feedback, new peripherals, obsolete technologies, end-of-life peripherals, and other changes.
• Drive action items to closure for test escapes and process efficiencies.
