About The Position

The Test and Balance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, in addition to certified testing, correcting, and balancing specialized heating, cooling of ventilation systems of large local commercial areas. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous Test and Balance experience required.
  • Ability to understand HVAC systems and HVAC control systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and Visio.
  • Keen attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and excel in a fast-paced work environment that includes frequent interruptions.
  • Team mindset – flexible to help where the team will benefit most and develop effective professional relationships.
  • Demonstrates sense of urgency as required.
  • Must have the necessary physical stamina; to include, but not limited to, long-term overhead HVAC work.
  • Must be able to work for extended hours or work days.
  • Must be careful during work to avoid injury (get help lifting, steps and ladder safety, etc.).
  • Must be able to work with powered construction tools safely.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen at any given time during employment.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot a wide variety of air handling systems, exhaust systems, ductwork, and fluid flow equipment associated with commercial and industrial HVAC applications.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance and service requests.
  • Review and analyze data for reporting.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Other tasks and duties as they arise.
  • Interest and ability to join local union.
