About The Position

ConServ Building Services is urgently hiring experienced Test and Balance Technicians in the Tampa Bay Area. Technicians perform HVAC test-and-balance procedures on new construction and/or remodel projects. The role involves examining system blueprints, specifications, and performance data; configuring and adjusting system controls; testing HVAC/R and associated electrical systems; collecting and tabulating test data; and coordinating with other construction trades. Technicians also handle job takeoffs and setup, and track instruments for annual recalibration. The position requires independent work and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations. ConServ Building Services was founded in 1991 as the service division of BCH Mechanical. It serves regional clients across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Requirements

At least 5 years of experience specifically in test and balance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
NEBB certification required.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge and understanding of tools and techniques used to maintain, diagnose problems in, and repair HVAC/R and associated electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain, diagnose problems in, and repair HVAC/R systems and associated electrical systems.
Study system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine the configuration and purpose of system components.
Adjust system controls to vendor-recommended settings, conduct measurement tests, and discuss malfunctions with system users to isolate problems.
Conduct HVAC test-and-balance procedures on new construction and/or remodel projects.
Collect and tabulate system test data, make field observations, and coordinate with electrical, mechanical, temperature-control, and design teams.
Perform job takeoffs and job setup.
Track instruments for annual recalibration requirements.
