About The Position

The Territory Service Merchandising Representative services Novo Building Products such as lumber, moulding, and millwork in Lowe's stores. The role covers stores in Metairie, Harvey, Slidell, Jefferson, New Orleans, and Marrero, with regular travel to assigned stores and possible travel to additional stores outside the territory. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a day shift and travel of up to 50%. Overnight or daily travel may be required. The representative stocks replenishment orders by hand, processes credits for damaged products, performs inventory counts, manages stock levels to reduce outages, recommends new products, responds to customer concerns, and may support product resets and training. Replenishment orders must be stocked within 48 hours of delivery. The role also involves maintaining relationships with store personnel, keeping product displays and point-of-purchase materials in order, managing expenses according to company policy, and representing the company with professionalism. Novo Building Products manufactures and distributes stair parts, mouldings, doors, specialty millwork, and board products. Requirements

High school diploma.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Proof of current auto insurance.
Solid organization and time management skills.
Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
Selling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Ability to demonstrate courtesy, diplomacy, and tact, and to foster relationships based on integrity and professionalism.
Ability to travel overnight or daily to service stores and drive to and from stores.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing and walking, bending or twisting, lifting, and pushing or pulling wheeled equipment.

Responsibilities

Travel to assigned stores on a regular, predetermined call schedule and service them; additional stores outside the assigned territory may also be required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with store personnel, including store management, red vest associates, and MST.
Maintain accurate inventory through focus and cycle count adjustments or by notifying customers of necessary changes.
Maintain the appearance of company products by cleaning, culling, placing suggested orders, preparing returns and credits, and keeping point-of-purchase materials current and in place.
Train store personnel on the company’s products and services.
Analyze performance, product mix, market conditions, and new product opportunities, and recommend changes when appropriate.
Facilitate store reset activity with the NHC Store Planning Team as required.
Participate in special events such as grand openings, contractor nights, product knowledge training, and company meetings.
Stock assigned replenishment orders within 48 hours of delivery and stock additional stores as needed.
Manage expenses according to corporate policies and procedures.
Represent the company with high standards of conduct, professionalism, courtesy, ethics, and a can-do attitude.
Address customer concerns and recommend new products.
