About The Position

The Territory Sales Representative role at Behr requires an organized, approachable, and professional individual to manage all Behr-related business within five or more Home Depot stores in their designated area. This role is crucial for representing Behr positively, focusing on sales, relationship-building, merchandising, ordering, and problem-solving to ensure customers have a positive impression and are better equipped to do their work. The work hours will vary based on peak selling times, potentially including weekends, holidays, and shifts extending until 7 pm, as the work aligns with consumer shopping habits.

Requirements

  • Must be organized, approachable, and professional.
  • Ability to manage every aspect of Behr-related business in five or more Home Depot stores.
  • Comfortable speaking to groups and communicating clearly.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be ready to supply a copy of license and insurance information upon offer.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

  • Visit assigned stores daily to be the face of Behr.
  • Engage in sales activities with a proactive approach to create value for customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Home Depot managers, associates, other Behr reps, professional contractors, and residential customers.
  • Train Home Depot associates, Behr team members, and the public on Behr's product line.
  • Lead classes or demonstrations to educate customers on product usage.
  • Ensure paint chips, brochures, and products are fully stocked and the display area is clean and eye-catching.
  • Order necessary materials such as colorants and point-of-purchase items to keep stores stocked.
  • Travel between stores regularly and spend adequate time at each location.
  • Track mileage for reimbursement using an app.
