About The Position

Heritage Cutter is a privately held US manufacturer of precision cutting tools, including high-performance carbide end mills, high-speed steel, cobalt, and powdered metal end mills, taps, and countersinks, under brands like Data Flute, Brubaker, Weldon, and Decatur Diamond. The company is seeking a Territory Manager to oversee sales and provide technical support within a designated territory. This role involves working closely with customers and distribution partners, supported by a team of engineers and product managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in machining and a proven ability to manage customer relationships, develop sales strategies, and drive sales growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of machining experience on both manual and CNC machines
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to use the Internet, Project Management software, spreadsheets, and word processing software
  • Ability to work independently to set daily priorities and workload

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • An engineering degree or a certificate program from a machining trade school

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage customer relationships with assigned territory
  • Increase sales and profit margin with assigned territory
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the assigned territory
  • Keep CRM updated for assigned accounts, ensuring data is current and accurate
  • Review lost opportunities to provide feedback to management on pricing, product, service/support, and sales strategy
  • Set sales goals, including new business targets and objectives for the assigned territory, and report on progress
  • Develop and implement respective sales plans
  • Coordinate internal resources (e.g., Product Managers) as required to support the territory
  • Work with distributors to coordinate support products and solutions
  • Communicate market trends and product competitiveness to management
  • Communicate new business opportunities to Product Managers for review
  • Submit a monthly report including target account updates, quotation feedback, and distributor updates and training
  • Provide Regional Manager with other status changes and forecast feedback at major accounts
