About The Position

The ideal candidate lives in the Midwest Region-Preferably Minnesota or the surrounding area. Geography includes Minnesota, North & South Dakota. You will work with Distribution. This position is a home-based remote sales position. The role is responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans, both volume and profit, within the assigned sales territory. This includes securing and maintaining distribution of products and maintaining effective agreements. The Territory Sales Manager will have direct one-to-one communication with customers, both present and prospective, and must be willing and able to adjust swiftly and quickly to the ever-changing dynamics within the Novolex brands, which include brands, products, and processes both internally and with our customer base. Responsibilities include performing field promotion work, development of new accounts, demonstrating products, and providing assistance in the best application of products. The candidate will contact prospects and explain features and merits of products offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques. They will analyze records of present and past sales, trends, and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred, and interpret accounts, trends, and records to management. The role is responsible for closing the sales transaction and servicing accounts, managing relationships regarding pricing, product warranty claims, receivables, etc.

Requirements

  • Must be able to travel frequently (40-50%) including some overnight travel as needed.
  • Demonstrated skills and attributes include initiative, problem solving, negotiation, and persuasive communication skills (written, presentation and verbal)
  • Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to function independently
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • 2-3 years of previous sales experience

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry experience is preferred
  • BA/BS degree preferred in business, sales/marketing or related field
