About The Position

My client, a well-established and highly respected overhead crane and hoist company, is seeking an experienced Executive Sales Manager to support continued growth and customer expansion throughout the Central New Jersey region. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned crane and hoist industry professional who understands industrial sales, relationship management, technical solutions, and the operational side of overhead material handling systems. The successful candidate will work closely with ownership and leadership while supporting long-term customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of overhead crane and hoist industry experience
  • Proven track record in crane and hoist sales
  • Strong understanding of crane mechanical, electrical, and fabrication environments
  • Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NEC, and CMAA standards as they apply to cranes and hoists
  • Ability to work with custom solutions and collaborate with engineers and plant personnel
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Ability to work onsite in Central New Jersey with occasional overnight travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting contractor and industrial clients
  • Prior field service or technician background highly valued
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities within manufacturing, industrial, and contractor markets
  • Manage and expand existing customer relationships
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and follow up on leads
  • Visit customer facilities to identify crane, hoist, and material handling needs
  • Recommend crane systems, hoists, parts, inspections, repairs, modernization projects, and service solutions
  • Prepare customer quotations by coordinating with engineering, operations, service, and finance teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline, and customer records
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and new products
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution and customer satisfaction
