About The Position

Pepin Distributing Company, LLC is seeking a Territory Merchandiser to service grocery and other retail accounts in Wesley Chapel, Lutz, Land O Lakes, and surrounding areas. Merchandisers help create and maintain product displays and support sales of the company’s beverage portfolio. Daily work includes restocking products, rotating inventory, placing point-of-sale materials, managing shelf space within regulatory guidelines, and pricing products according to company policy. The role is an opportunity to learn about the beer industry and can serve as a starting point for a career in sales. The schedule is five days per week, including weekend shifts, with a start time between 5:00 and 6:00 AM. Work hours may vary daily based on business needs. The position requires daily in-person travel within the service territory, and applicants must reside within the territory to be considered. Starting pay is over $19.25 per hour, including base pay and weekly bonuses, with overtime opportunities. Mileage is reimbursed at $0.655 per mile.

Requirements

A dependable personal vehicle for work use and proof of liability insurance.
High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
Valid Florida Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Must reside within the territory to be considered.
Must travel in person daily within Pepin’s service territories in Hillsborough and Pasco Counties.
Must work Saturdays, Sundays, and some holidays.
Must have a smartphone with a camera and data capability.
Ability to lift, load, push, and pull cases weighing 20–50 pounds and 160-pound kegs in specialty accounts.
Ability to bend, reach, squat, stand, and walk for up to eight hours at a time.
Ability to operate a pallet jack, dolly, and six-wheeler cart.
Ability to talk, hear, and see, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

One year of general work experience is preferred.
Prior grocery store experience or knowledge of the beverage market is a strong plus.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.

Responsibilities

Restock coolers, shelves, and displays in assigned accounts.
Rotate products in backrooms and on shelves according to product code-date policies.
Assist with or build displays using proper point-of-sale materials according to company policy and retailer needs.
Ensure point-of-sale materials communicate the correct package and price to consumers.
Use hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks to move products within accounts.
Build customer relationships at the store level.
Work to achieve the number one sales position in each account using appropriate point-of-sale materials.
Maintain knowledge of Pepin’s brand and package portfolio.
Communicate daily objectives with supervisors and team members.
Manage time effectively to route daily work needs.
Follow safe working practices and company policies, rules, and regulations; correct obvious hazards or report them to a supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
