A Territory Manager position entails providing information about the products and services of the company to customers to increase sales and to develop or maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers. The Territory Manager works closely with the Branch Manager to develop sales programs and strategies to attain annual budget targets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of outside sales and/or equipment experience
  • Proven historical sales and revenue generating success
  • Ability to prepare and deliver efficient customized sales proposals and presentations to professionals at all levels
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills both in one-on-one and group settings
  • Proficient with computer technology
  • Post secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • Driven to support customers with exceptional solutions.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
  • Ability to provide information and solutions to keep customers operational.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations while holding true to company values.
  • Ability to leverage customer insights to identify business opportunities and strategies.
  • Not afraid to prospect with cold calls for new accounts on a regular basis.
  • Represent the company, leading by example and personifying corporate values.
  • Leave customers and suppliers with a positive impression and the desire to do business with us again.
  • Self-starter and available to customers when they need you.
  • Comfortable with learning new software.
  • Developed personal systems for organizing work, ensuring follow-up, and a stickler for accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information about the products and services of the company to customers to increase sales.
  • Develop or maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to develop sales programs and strategies to attain annual budget targets.
  • Report customer satisfaction, trends and other useful information to parts and service supervisors.
  • Develop rapport with customers and be the eyes and ears of the branch.
  • Take opportunities to make a difference.
  • Communicate with technicians and customers regarding equipment.
  • Complete any additional tasks or projects as requested.
