As a Territory Manager, you will play a key role in building customer relationships, driving sales, and contributing to business growth. This role involves nurturing existing accounts, seeking new business opportunities, and collaborating with a dynamic team. US Foods provides a comprehensive training program, including coaching, sales tools, and mentoring, to ensure the success of its Territory Managers.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record in good standing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
  • Problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Team-up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
  • CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
  • Tech-savviness

Responsibilities

  • Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms, provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
  • Drive sales by increasing case growth and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations and tailored sales approaches.
  • Collaborate with Specialists for top penetration opportunities and new account openings.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Identify prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, and leads from existing clients.
  • Participate in organizations, clubs, and attend trade shows and conferences to develop new business.
  • Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule and troubleshoot any issues during the order process.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Drive personal motor vehicle to conduct customer visits.
