Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
  • Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
  • Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
  • CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
  • Drive sales by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations and tailored sales approaches.
  • Manage time and territory effectively.
  • Collaborate with Specialists for top penetration opportunities and new account openings.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Identify prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, business directories, following leads, participating in organizations, and attending trade shows.
  • Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule and troubleshoot any problems during the order process.
  • Understand market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales, sharing this information with customers.
  • Drive a personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
