About The Position

Reporting into the Alberta Sales Manager, the teammate will be responsible for driving the sales and marketing objectives of Andrew Peller Import’s (API) in both the Retail and Licensee Channels in the assigned territory, with a focus in building Edmonton/Northern Alberta, using the tools and strategies as described in the territorial sales plan. The primary focus of this role is to build API brands by maximizing sales in high-volume and opportunity accounts. Candidates must be an energetic self-starter and display strong interpersonal skills, administrative acumen and have a proven track-record of being competitive, results-driven, detail-oriented, and passion for wine.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • University or College Degree
  • Wine knowledge
  • Beverage Alcohol sales experience
  • Demonstrated selling skills along with product/market knowledge
  • Resides within territory
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams)

  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and outside of standard business hours as required

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and maximize sales revenue and volume in territory
  • Implement and execute sales plans by following optimal coverage and service standards
  • Deliver targeted objectives for brand distribution
  • Execute consistently high levels of customer service that strengthen relationships and drive loyalty
  • Implement marketing and promotional programs
  • Maximize supplier visits in territory
  • Operate territory within approved expense budget
  • Preparation of sales summaries/projects and submitting to Sales Manager or in timely manner
  • Maintain up-to-date account and expense information
  • Maintain productive business relationships with all key licensee and industry personnel
  • Develop new business opportunities through sound public relation activities and superior customer service, including: Conducting presentations to various interest groups (staff training, imparting wine knowledge, hosting suppliers, etc.)
  • Ensuring prompt and proper handling of all customer concerns and complaints
  • Maintaining exemplary professional conduct and accepted social and industry practices when representing the interests of API
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and acting promptly
  • Monitor competitor activities, market developments, market/product opportunities and communicate this information to sales team
