About The Position

As a Territory Director at Aspen Dental, you will be a key leader in the NorthEast Division, specifically supporting New York State. This role emphasizes a 'You first' approach, offering job security, world-class training, competitive compensation, and flexible scheduling. You will be responsible for overseeing practice operations for a group of Aspen Dental-branded practices within your designated territory. Your primary duties will include leading operations teams, fostering a strong team culture, and ensuring the success of all team members. The position requires regular travel within the territory to maintain a consistent presence in practices, provide training and development, and collaborate with talent acquisition and regional managers to address staffing needs and facilitate effective hiring and onboarding processes. You will also offer additional support to practice owners as required.

Requirements

  • 8+ years progressive experience managing multi-unit leaders within a customer or patient-based industry
  • Proven experience leading strategic planning initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving data-informed decisions resulting in measurable business outcomes
  • Prior profit and loss responsibility and the ability to interpret and act upon financial statements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and employees of all ages and backgrounds
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development for yourself and your team; experience coaching and developing others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to make decisions independently
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office business applications
  • Must be willing and able to relocate after training based on organizational needs
  • Must maintain a valid non-restricted driver’s license and appropriate insurance or the ability to be insured under the employer’s fleet insurance program (for those assigned a Company fleet vehicle) as this position requires daily travel to assigned offices

Responsibilities

  • Support practice operations for a group of Aspen Dental-branded practices within a designated territory
  • Lead the operations teams within your supported practices and drive a strong culture that will support and help enable all team members to be successful
  • Travel across the territory to maintain a consistent presence within practices and ensure their success
  • Provide training and development support to team members to strengthen business results, operating procedures, and protocols within the practices
  • In partnership with the talent acquisition team and the regional manager, evaluate and communicate staffing needs to enable effective hiring and onboarding experiences for new team members
  • Provide additional support as needed by practice owners
