About The Position

We are looking for a competitive Territory Business Manager to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. The successful salesperson will identify new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. They will play a key role in increasing revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services. This role involves managing the Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and western TN territory to drive and support growth with Neogen Food Safety Products. The position requires implementing and executing business priorities, delivering on financial and forecast expectations, and conducting business planning to drive growth with direct, indirect (channel), Key Accounts and focused market segments. The Territory Business Manager will also develop sales strategies and adjust to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines and work cross-functionally with other business disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Science or Sales is preferred.
  • Successful history of time and territory management.
  • Successful sales performance and territory track record or meeting / exceeding forecast.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking.
  • Experience using SalesForce.com or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Experience with "Solution Selling" methodologies.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and western TN territory to drive and support growth with Neogen Food Safety Products.
  • Implement and execute on business priorities.
  • Deliver on financial and forecast expectations.
  • Conduct business planning to drive growth with direct, indirect (channel), Key Accounts and focused market segments.
  • Develop sales strategies and adjust to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines and working cross functionally with other business disciplines.
  • Independently manage and grow business within a set geography.
  • Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
  • Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively.
  • Maintain records of customer communications and contact information as required.
  • Make technical presentations, webinars.
  • Prepare responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information).
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
  • Work with price calculations.
  • Research market requirements and market data.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.
  • Maintain current Neogen product knowledge.
  • Demonstrate and explain best practices in installation techniques for all Neogen products.
