SOLID: Terrazzo Floor Technician
About The Position
This is a skilled, field-based position focused on executing commercial stone polishing, restoration, and maintenance services across client properties specifically focused in Terrazzo flooring. This role requires 2 - 3 years of prior experience particularly with terrazzo, marble, granite, and other natural or engineered stone materials. Floor Technician will contribute to delivering high-quality surface care with minimal oversight and is expected to possess the basic skillset necessary to work independently on routine tasks. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, reliable, and passionate about quality craftsmanship in a commercial service setting.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in terrazzo flooring and related surface care.
- Working knowledge of basic stone care processes including polishing, sealing, and minor repairs.
- Familiarity with tools and chemicals used in stone surface treatment (e.g., planetary polishers, honing pads, sealers).
- Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment, and work on your feet for extended hours.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality finishes.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites across the Denver area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in commercial settings (office buildings, retail, hospitality, etc.).
- Knowledge of multiple stone types (e.g., marble, granite, terrazzo, limestone).
- Previous employment with a specialty cleaning or surface restoration company.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily stone polishing, honing, and sealing tasks in commercial environments using industry-standard tools and techniques.
- Execute routine restoration work including scratch removal, lippage correction, and stain treatment on stone surfaces.
- Assist with or lead the setup of equipment, chemical application, and tool use in preparation for service delivery.
- Follow SOLID’s safety and quality control protocols to ensure high-performance outcomes on all assigned jobs.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites, equipment, and vehicles.
- Collaborate with the Technical Stone Expert to align work with job specifications, timelines, and client expectations.
- Troubleshoot minor field issues and adjust techniques as needed based on surface conditions or client needs.
