Requirements

2+ years of basic knowledge of principles and practices related to the operation of landfill systems
Will work as a member of a project team(s) to complete specific assignments at municipal solid waste landfill(s) in Midwest
Willing to work in the beautiful outdoors a majority of the time
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Valid driver’s license required
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word and Excel and working with Android other technology will be necessary with the associated work
Ability to travel for out-of-town work

40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred

Responsibilities

Under general supervision operate, monitor, and maintain landfill gas migration control/recovery systems
Collect data from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations
Perform wellfield valve/vacuum adjustments, data collection and maintenance; interpret data
Assist with small construction projects including pipe and valve installation
Use Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping materials and associated equipment to perform maintenance on piping systems
Provide on-call response to GCCS related malfunction event(s)
Perform surface emission monitoring
