About The Position

The JH Terrain Park Crew is a Winter Seasonal, Full-Time position responsible for assisting the lead in daily duties related to the setup, inspection, and maintenance of terrain features. This role involves circulating through all venues to check fences and signage, promoting safety and goodwill with guests, and acquiring acute safety practices. The crew member will also operate snowmobiles and execute skier safety tasks according to JHMR standards. Additionally, the role requires the ability to perform most work unassisted in the shop, including handrail construction, repairs, and painting (excluding welding), as directed by the lead. Other duties may be assigned by the JH Park supervisor or lead.

Requirements

Expert snowboarding/skiing ability required.
High school graduate or G.E.D.
Knowledge of basic terrain feature maintenance skills
Awareness of Ski Area operations

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in the ‘trades’ EX: construction, welding, heavy equipment
Previous experience in terrain park usage/ etiquette
General handrail repair experience

Responsibilities

Assist lead in completing daily duties as outlined in the JH Park Handbook (Set-up, inspection, logs, and maintenance of terrain features)
Circulate through all venues checking fences, signage, and terrain features.
Promote safety and goodwill through ‘one on one’ communication with our guests.
Acquire acute safety practices pertaining to the above mentioned activities and other related equipment.
Operate snowmobiles as directed by the JHMR Snowmobile Handbook.
Execute Skier Safety tasks as obligated by JHMR standards.
Possess abilities to do most work unassisted in shop
Handrail construction/ Repairs/ Painting (Exception: Welding) as directed by lead
Perform other duties as assigned by the JH Park supervisor or lead
