About The Position

Ergon Asphalt Partners is hiring a full-time Terminal Operator for its Yellow Creek-Luka, Mississippi facility. The role involves performing operational functions at the terminal, producing high-quality asphalt binder, and working with other operators to develop their skills. Employment offers are contingent upon a pre-employment drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check.

Requirements

General computer skills and PC knowledge.
Basic mechanical skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Stable work history.
Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods on concrete floors and outdoor surfaces.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and cold, hot, and humid temperatures.
Manual dexterity and ability to reach, bend, and move with agility.
Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety requirements and procedures.
Work independently and contribute as a team player.
Perform Terminal Operator I functions proficiently.
Transfer products between tanks.
Operate a steam boiler.
Align valves and operate pumps.
Perform blending functions.
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.
Perform quality-control testing using DSR and Brookfield equipment, where applicable.
Carry out other duties as required by the Terminal Manager.
Work closely with Operator I employees to develop their skills.
