About The Position

The Terminal Operator unloads grain and grain by-products from trucks and rail cars and supports general facility operations. The work is physically demanding, dirty, and exposed to outside elements. The operator follows instructions from the Superintendent, Assistant, or Lead and complies with all LDC safety rules and procedures. The role requires working a combination of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

• Be able to handle vibrators, car door openers, spud bars, and sledge hammers.
• Be able to distinguish different products and report abnormalities to a supervisor.
• Be able to work a combination of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Be able to perform physically demanding work in dirty conditions and exposure to outside elements.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unload grain and grain by-products from trucks and rail cars.
• Open gates and doors on trucks and rail cars.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and facility, including general maintenance.
• Distinguish different products and report abnormalities to a supervisor.
• Follow instructions from the Superintendent, Assistant, or Lead.
• Follow all LDC safety rules and procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment for the work being performed.
• Assist in all areas of the facility as needed.
