About The Position

Ergon Asphalt Partners is hiring a full-time Terminal Operator at its Garden City facility. The role performs a variety of terminal operations and works closely with Operator I employees to help develop their skills. The company describes itself as family-owned and relationship-driven, with locations throughout the U.S. and Mexico and a small-company feel. The ideal candidate is organized, manages time well, solves problems, maintains good housekeeping, is willing to learn, and contributes to the team. Employment offers are contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR. Applicants will be contacted for interviews; walk-ins and phone calls are not accepted.

Requirements

General computer skills and PC knowledge.
Basic mechanical skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Stable work history.
Organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills.
Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods on concrete floors and outdoor surfaces.
Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions, including cold, hot, and humid temperatures.
Manual dexterity and ability to reach, bend, and move with agility.
Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety requirements and procedures.
Work independently and as a team player.
Perform Terminal Operator I functions proficiently.
Transfer products between tanks.
Operate a steam boiler.
Align valves and operate pumps.
Perform blending functions.
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.
Perform quality-control testing using DSR and Brookfield equipment, where applicable.
Carry out other duties as required by the Terminal Manager.
Work closely with Operator I employees to develop their skills.
