About The Position
Midwest Logistics Systems (MLS) is seeking an on-site Terminal Manager in Lincoln, Alabama. The role serves as a key liaison among the business, drivers, and internal and external customers. The Terminal Manager balances customer satisfaction with company profitability by creating operating plans, managing profit and loss (P&L), and providing support and direction to on-site associates and drivers.
Requirements
- At least three years of verifiable supervisory experience involving DOT/FMCSR requirements for Class A CDL tractor-trailer drivers in the trucking industry.
- General understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws and regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise shipments from supplier to customer and communicate effectively with customers.
- Schedule daily and weekly routes using internal dispatch software.
- Track routes using internal and customer-based systems.
- Create operating plans and manage P&L.
- Provide support and direction to on-site associates and drivers.
- Serve as a liaison between the business, drivers, and internal and external customers, balancing customer satisfaction and company profitability.
