About The Position

Buzzi Unicem USA is hiring a Terminal Maintenance employee to perform routine maintenance of terminal buildings, equipment, and grounds while following company safety policies and working safely. The role supports packaging, blending, transferring, and loading or unloading cement products. It offers opportunities to learn additional skills and develop a career with the company. The starting base rate is $35.97 per hour, with the opportunity for overtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to write legibly and complete Bills of Lading and other reports related to loading or unloading trucks, barges, and railcars.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly and repeatedly.
Ability to climb ladders and steps.
Ability to read and comprehend safety and operating instructions.
Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
Ability to work in enclosed areas such as railcars, barges, pump pits, and dust collectors.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures, noisy and dusty conditions, and noisy areas up to 90 decibels.
Ability to bend and use a shovel and broom.
Ability to paint using a spray gun and paint brush.
Ability to operate forklifts, tractors, grass-cutting equipment, welding and cutting equipment, and small mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain terminal equipment used for packaging goods, blending and transferring products, and loading or unloading trucks, barges, and railcars.
Maintain housekeeping in maintenance areas.
Perform all work safely and efficiently.
Perform other work as assigned verbally or through written orders.
Troubleshoot and keep product flowing from silos to trucks.
Operate and maintain the truck loading kiosk.
