About The Position

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University is seeking to fill six full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor level, starting Fall 2027. The role involves teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting research, mentoring students, and participating in departmental and professional service activities. The department is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Robotics, Quantum, Chip Design & Manufacturing, and Bioimaging. Texas A&M University is making significant investments in areas like a Semiconductor Institute and AI/ML computing infrastructure. The ECE department is a large department with a substantial student enrollment and a strong faculty, including members of the National Academy and numerous Professional Society Fellows. The department is in a growth phase and plans to hire additional faculty in the coming years.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
