The start date for the position is August 1, 2027. The position is open to candidates with a Ph.D. in any area of specialization in Operations Management, particularly in the field of data analytics related to operations management or operations research topics (e.g., revenue management, supply chain management, sustainable operations, big data, etc.), as well as to applicants demonstrating outstanding potential who are doctoral students in those fields and plan to have completed the requirements for their Ph.D. by December 2027. We have a particular interest in candidates with research and teaching focus in the Faculty priority areas of Analytics, AI & Advanced Digital Technologies; Innovation & Entrepreneurship; Sustainability; or Equity, Diversity & Inclusion. The ideal candidate will have evidence of effective teaching, an experience-appropriate record of research publications in high quality, peer-reviewed journals, and clear promise of conducting innovative and important research publishable in the top journals in Operations Management such as those listed on the Desautels 22. The OM Area is particularly interested in candidates whose expertise lies in data-driven research and welcomes all candidates from related disciplines including statistics, economics and computer/information science provided there is significant OM component in the research. Successful candidates are also expected to work with doctoral students, to teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and contribute to the administration of the Area and Faculty.
