Tenure Track Position in Business Technology
About The Position
The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University invites applicants for an open rank tenure-track faculty position in Business Technology to begin in Fall 2027. Candidates must have interest and capacity to conduct high quality research and potential to publish in top-tier business journals. We welcome theoretical, methodological, and empirical research on AI/ML, with particular interest in LLM methods and their applications to business problems. Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree at the time of appointment in Information Systems, Economics, Marketing, Operations Research, Computer Science/Machine Learning, or related fields. Applicants who have already completed their PhD and have a strong record in both business research and teaching are also encouraged to apply and will be considered for the position. Candidates must also have potential to teach at a high level of competency, as documented by teaching evaluations or letters of recommendation. The ideal candidate will play a leading role in advancing the school’s strategic goal of intelligent future, which is a long-standing differentiator of the Tepper School’s approach to business education and research.
