The Department of Biology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Organismal Biology to begin in August 2027. A successful candidate will contribute to teaching in our introductory course (BIOL 162) that introduces a diverse array of topics in organismal biology, and will offer upper-level organismal-focused courses (with lab) suitable for Biology majors that complement our existing courses. The candidate will be expected to establish a productive research program that is well-suited to undergraduate participation. The research area is open, but please note that facilities for vertebrate research are extremely limited. They generate new knowledge in their fields while utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies and course designs to create classroom environments where all students have a sense of belonging, are valued, and can flourish to reach their full potential. Academic freedom is a cornerstone of our intellectual and moral community; the College is committed to supporting faculty and students as they work to advance our educational mission and serve the common good.
