The Department of Biology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor or an untenured Associate Professor specializing in molecular biology to begin in August 2027. We are interested in candidates who can contribute to teaching in our introductory course (BIOL 161) that emphasizes biochemistry, cell biology and molecular genetics and can develop a new, intermediate-level molecular biology course (with lab) suitable for Biology majors that would complement our existing course offerings. The candidate will be expected to establish a productive research program that is well-suited to undergraduate participation. The research area is open, but please note that facilities for vertebrate research are extremely limited. Candidates should be committed to inclusive excellence in teaching and research, with demonstrated abilities to teach and mentor all students. Additional information about the Biology department is available at: https://www.holycross.edu/academics/programs/biology Please note that individuals with teaching or research interests in neurobiology should instead apply to the open positions in the College’s newly formed Neuroscience department.
