Summary: Full-time, tenure-track Information Technology Faculty (member of the Computer and Information Science Department) will be responsible for providing quality instruction to students by ensuring student satisfaction through the classroom or laboratory setting according to the program objectives. This individual must have a strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administration, handling of equipment, and troubleshooting. This individual will be the system administration program’s lead instructor. The program is designed to teach PC repair, Windows and Linux server administration, basic networking and to prepare students to pass industry certifications (A+, Net+, Server+, Azure, etc.) NCC is strongly committed to increasing the diversity of the college community and the curriculum. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology/related field or a different field along with current relevant industry certifications (A+, Net+, Server+, MCSA, Azure, AWS, CCNA etc.). Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in the field with experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and administering server operating systems in an enterprise environment.
• 2+ years' experience developing technology curriculums.
• 2+ years of instructional experience in teaching a similar field.

• Beside meeting the above qualifications, experience teaching at a community college
• Documented effectiveness in classroom instruction
• Experience in program curricula and course development
• Experience using and integrating technology in class instruction
• Experience developing and/or implementing instruction in online or hybrid formats.
• The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with hardware deployment; rack & stack; Linux and/or Windows Server provisioning; deployment of services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP; configuration of containerization; experience with deployment or use of cloud services from AWS, Azure, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and technically relevant instruction, assessment, and feedback in lecture and laboratory.
• Teach material from approved curriculum (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.).
• Maintain daily attendance.
• Monitor students' performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives.
• Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process.
• Assist with course/program evaluation.
• Advise assigned students in course selection, career preparation, etc.
• Ability to teach system administration program courses: PC Repair, Server I and II, Operating Systems, Intro to Networking, Linux administration, etc.
• Ability to teach introductory Cisco CCNA courses as needed is a plus (CCNA Required).
• Manage key roles (instructors, students, observers, etc.) in Brightspace LMS.
