About The Position
If you LOVE the game of tennis, are good at it, and have experience in coaching or teaching the game to others, this job is right for you. A JCC Tennis Professional teaches group lessons, participates in special tennis-related events, assists with tournaments and has the option to teach private lessons. Teaching tennis at the JCC? Requirements
- High school diploma
- 1-2 years of experience in tennis instruction (teaching adults, juniors and youth at various levels)
- Current or previous tennis tournament or college-level experience
- CPR/AED certified (current)
- High energy, great attitude, sound judgment
- Availability 4-8p during the week
Responsibilities
- Provides beginning through advanced instruction for all levels and ages of players
- Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students build on the fundamentals that will encourage continued participation
- Ensure players understand safety and tennis rules, tennis etiquette and scoring procedures
