About The Position

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking a Tennis Professional to provide instruction and teaching for private lessons, adult and junior clinics, and junior camps. The role also includes responsibilities for tennis court maintenance and pro shop duties for 4-6 hours per week. The resort is a luxury destination for golf and beach vacations near Charleston, South Carolina, offering Five-Star accommodations, world-class amenities, and award-winning recreational activities.

Requirements

• Previous teaching experience required.
• Flexible availability is required to be available for guests’ scheduling needs.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills.
• Good to Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to lift and carry minimum weight of 50 lbs. across short-medium distances.
• Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping.
• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, intense work environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress.

Nice To Haves

• Division I College playing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach private lessons, adult and junior clinics, as well as junior camps.
• Responsible for 4 to 6 hours of tennis court maintenance and racquet stringing.
• Exude an outgoing and pleasant personality and should enjoy working with people.
• Be self-motivated and exhibit excellent communication skills.
• Work both independently and in a team environment.
• Follow and support Service Commitment and Core Values.
• All other duties, as assigned.
