About The Position

This role provides tennis lessons, explaining and demonstrating principles, techniques, and methods of regulating movement of the body, hands, and feet to achieve proficiency in tennis. The instructor will observe students during practice to detect and correct mistakes.

Requirements

Strong playing background required.
2 years of teaching experience required.
Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Proven instructor skills.
Demonstrated outstanding customer service.
Willingness to learn and perform new tennis programs.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Drive and motivation.
Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.

Responsibilities

Develops quality tennis instruction to market to individuals and groups.
Provides tennis lessons to groups.
Performs on-on-one private training sessions.
Coordinates lessons with tennis professional, pro shop, and other departments.
Conducts lessons and clinics.
Maintains cleanliness and neatness of fitness equipment and facility.
Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations.
Performs special projects delegated by management.
Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.
