About The Position

Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne in Key Biscayne, Florida, is hiring a full-time Tennis Coach. The coach provides high-quality tennis instruction and customer service to members and guests, teaching junior programs, lessons, special events, and clinics. The position contributes to a positive member and guest experience and supports tennis participation at the club.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• USTA NetGeneration Certification, required as a condition of employment.
• At least 2 years of experience.
• Experience teaching tennis lessons to adults and juniors of various skill levels.
• Tennis skill level equivalent to a minimum 4.0 USTA rating.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing, positive attitude.
• Ability to build positive relationships with members and team members.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and learn quickly.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of tennis.
• Effective teaching styles and techniques.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the job duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide beginning through advanced private and group tennis instruction for players of all ages and skill levels.
• Help promote and conduct tennis clinics, private lessons, special events, and programs to attract and maintain members’ and guests’ interest in tennis.
• Develop safe, professional, comprehensive lessons and programs that encourage students’ continued involvement in tennis.
• Assist with supervising play and ensure fees are properly charged.
• Teach students tennis rules, scoring procedures, safety rules, and tennis etiquette.
• Enforce club rules and regulations governing use of the facility, equipment, and other property.
• Perform racquet stringing.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member and guest questions, comments, and concerns.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
