This role plays a part in the development of pre-Contract commercial offers, including monitoring system and equipment pricing for industrial thermal systems, helping to evolve customer and internal requirements, and using various data sources to create structured estimates. The role also involves interfacing with fabricators and vendors for costing information, assisting in developing internal quantities for bid packages, and generating cost information for proposal and corporate review documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Engineering (any) or related technical field, and three (3) years of experience in a related occupation required.
  • 3 years of experience in tender management for industrial or process equipment projects
  • 3 years of experience in cost estimation and bid preparation for industrial equipment
  • 2 years of experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, Oracle)
  • 2 years of experience in industrial process system design or specification

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system and equipment pricing for industrial thermal systems for the chemical processing, by-product recovery, and water reclamation.
  • Help evolve customer and internal requirements and provide feedback on optimizing costing alternatives.
  • Use a combination of calculated values, current quotations, historical data, estimations, and empirical data correlate the system process design concept into a structured estimate with detailed equipment descriptions, nominal material requirements, commodity requirements, engineering man hours, freight estimation, associated contingencies and financial instruments.
  • Minimal interface with thermal processing equipment fabricators, and equipment vendors to obtain specific bids and costing information in support of inquiry costing.
  • Assist in developing internal quantities for third party construction and material bid packages.
  • Generate cost information to support the preparation of internal documents for proposal generation and internal corporate review documents.
