Brandeis University’s Rabb School of Continuing Studies is seeking a skilled online course developer to design and build a new three credit asynchronous online course titled: RABE 150 Sustainable Biotechnology. This role is for an experienced academic and curriculum strategist to serve as an Online Course Developer within Brandeis Online’s graduate program. The developer will design and build asynchronous, instructor-facilitated online courses aligned with institutional learning outcomes, accreditation standards, and workforce relevance. This course prepares students to incorporate sustainable practices into biotech operations, improving long-term viability. Principles and practices of sustainable biotechnology, focusing on environmental, economic, and social impacts will be key focus areas. Students will examine strategies for developing eco-friendly bioprocesses, reducing waste, and optimizing resource use. Topics include the circular bioeconomy, regulatory frameworks, and life cycle assessment of biotech products. Case studies will highlight sustainable innovations in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and industrial biotechnology.
