About The Position
This position will support the work of the Center for Community Engagement. The Center oversees and coordinates an array of ETSU strategic priorities and programming aligned with ETSU’s mission to “improve the quality of life for the people of the region and beyond.” Broadly speaking, the Center leads and manages the Go Beyond the Classroom Quality Enhancement Plan, ensures ETSU is meeting all the standards to maintain the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement, leads all aspects of the ETSU Community-Engaged Learning designation for courses and co-curricular experiences, and promotes the benefits of university-community engagement.
Requirements
- Familiarity with a university campus structure and organization
- Evidence of excellent writing and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization
- Technical skills in using a variety of software tools such as: Outlook tools - Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Forms; graphic design tools such as Canva; web development platforms, and Qualtrics
Responsibilities
- Support the Center’s Communication Plan
- Promote workshops and events
- Update and maintain the website
- Assist with implementing, monitoring, and evaluating Community-Engaged Learning initiatives
- Provide support for planning, logistics, and management for the many campus-based programs each year as well as external-focusing events.
