About The Position

The Lake County Fair Department is seeking a Temporary Fair Crew Member to assist with the setup and execution of the Lake County Fair. This role involves supporting the Fair Manager, Superintendents, and participants, as well as performing various outdoor and indoor duties to ensure the fair runs smoothly.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Self-starter
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to use basic hammer, cordless drill, and ladder

Responsibilities

• Follow the direction of the Fair Manager in setting up for the Lake County Fair.
• Assist Lake County Fair Superintendents and participants.
• Perform outdoor duties including raking, painting, mowing, basic carpentry and repair.
• Prepare show rings and move panels.
• Water and weed grounds as needed.
• Assist in planting and watering flowers.
• Assist Superintendents and participants during the Fair.
• Set up sound system for shows and assist where needed during shows.
