About The Position

This temporary assignment involves performing various demanding semi-skilled manual tasks required in a full-service multipurpose public assembly facility. The selected candidate must have a valid/current Texas driver's license with a clean driving record. The projected end date for this assignment is December 18, 2026. Temporary assignments may be filled at any time, and only competitive applicants selected will be contacted with further instructions.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED.
  • One year of experience performing custodial services and set up of furniture and equipment in a public use facility.
  • Knowledge of equipment and processes used in cleaning large buildings.
  • Flexibility with the schedule: This position may be required to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid/current Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Class "C" operator's driver's license.
  • Must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence.
  • If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning interior spaces at all athletics facilities.
  • Assisting with game day stadium and field set up at all Athletic facilities.
  • Stocking restrooms prior to varsity sporting events.
  • Emptying trash cans and sweeping public areas at all Athletic facilities.
  • Assisting with furniture moving.
  • Performing tasks required to set up before and clean up after professional entertainment events and private facility uses.
  • Performing tasks required for facility housekeeping.
  • Scrubs, sweeps, seals, vacuums and buffs floors.
  • Cleans office, restroom, dressing room, meeting room and seating areas.
  • Works closely and cooperatively in teams, groups and with others, including professional entertainer crews and crews from private facility users.
  • Driving a UT vehicle as needed.
