About The Position

LLSS is recruiting for Part-Time Instructors in the following areas: American Indian Education, Bilingual Education, TESOL Education, Educational Thought and Sociocultural Studies, Literacy and Languages, and Qualitative Research. The hired part-time instructors are expected to teach undergraduates and graduates in LLSS courses related to the Department programs. This faculty member will be expected to participate in enhancing the coherence and effectiveness of the teacher preparation programs.

Requirements

  • Earned Master’s in education or a closely related field, with evidence of expertise in specific course or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Earned a doctorate in Education, TESOL, or closely related fields
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching (grades K-12) in public schools in the U.S.
  • Interest or experience in teaching the specific course(s)
  • A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduates and graduates in LLSS courses related to the Department programs.
  • Participate in enhancing the coherence and effectiveness of the teacher preparation programs.
