About The Position

The Temp Merchandise Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Responsibilities include assisting with purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, supporting store recovery and cleanliness, and contributing to safety and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Ring customer purchases and returns accurately and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
